Inexpensive bar-mitzvah catering hall needed!

So I am trying to book a place for my son's bar-mitzvah in Nassau County. It's only going to be around 100 people. I will be having the actual service and the party hopefully in the same place. I really would like to keep it in the range of $5000 ( I know..it's difficult ). All the typical catering halls have packages of around $8000-10000 so far it seems. Any good ideas??

I know that my siblings and I threw our parents' 20th Anniversary party at the Coral House in Baldwin a few years back. It was also the place where they were married. It was very affordable and a lovely place. I would definitely check it out. Chat Icon

Garden City Casino, right by the Garden City Hotel....I had my engagement party there many moons ago. It was a really nice place and they were very reasonable. It was a really nice place and only one affair at a time.

Although my son is only 9 yrs old I want the same type of party - small and inexpensive. We go to the WOrkman's cirlcle IL Pertez school in East Meadow and services for them are not at temple.

I will ask around for u.

I was going to say Coral House, as a PP suggested. Also check out Stewart Manor Country Club - i know they do inexpensive all-inclusive packages.

Does your synagogue do catering? I know it can be a more economical option to have a small reception/kiddush lunch right after the service.
