Inexpensive kitchen cabinets
If your kitchen cabinets were inexpensive, can you please post where you got them...we were going to with IKEA, but my husband doesn't want to put them together, if he can get them put together for a decent price. Thanks!!
Also, if you have pics, that would be great!!!

Re: Inexpensive kitchen cabinets
What is inexpensive to you? What do you want to spend total on cabinets and how big is your kitchen?

I agree- how many total feet ( measuring uppers separate from lowers) do you have?

Re: Inexpensive kitchen cabinets
We got our cabinets from Home Depot and they cost us $7,000. We got a few upgrades that were included in that price as well such as crown moulding, a lazy susan, pull out garbage, cushion-close drawers, 4 glass front cabinets, a huge pantry with pull out drawers, etc.
Here are a few (unfinished) pics so you can get the idea of how big our kitchen is:

Oh and HD was great to work with!

Re: Inexpensive kitchen cabinets
five years ago we bought preassembled "special order" basic cabinets from home depot. We paid $1200 & got creative with the design. We built the fridge into the wall & made a pantry out of wall cabinets. We have a coordinating island now that I don't have a pic of on this computer. 5 years later it still looks & works great. We re-did the entire kitchen down to the studs for $5,000.

Did you guys install you kitchen cabinets, yourself? I would love to redo my galley kitchen; maybe I will go get a Home Depot estimate.

Thanks! I honestly don't remember, it was American.... something like that. They come in three finishes, white, oak or maple which is what we have. They are a great alternative for people with a really modest bugdet IMO.
