Infant and bathtub size Q

What did you do when your infant was too big for the baby bathtub but still too small to be without the infant insert. DS cannot sit yet.

ETA: another question. Did you buy a bigger bathtub? DS is very big for those infant bathtub.

I'm going through the same thing! She's getting too big for the hammock and the other night when I didn't use it, it was pretty much a disaster. Since she can't sit up properly, she splashed around way too much! It was a lot of fun... but definitely not as easy as having her in the hammock.

Re: Infant and bathtub size Q

which tub do you have?

Ours seems to work great. The hammock/sling we had to retiure, he outgrew it but the tub has a slight incline for newborns and he fits well it it.

We have the FF ocean wonder aquarium. DD was only able to stay in the sling for about 1 week b.c she was too heavy and it was digging into her back - so we have been sitting her up in tub -one side has a little seat and it reclines the same degree as her infant seat does. Of course I always leave one hand on her so she can't slip or go anywhere but it is the perfect size for them and it is high enough back to support their head. A few relatives have this one and they all say it grows nicely with their kids. The other end of the tub is big enough to for them when they sit up on their own.

This is a pic from when she was one day shy of 1 month old.

I have used the Primo Eurobath from about 3 months - 2.5 years. It has one side for the baby to lie down in and one side for the baby to sit up. She is just now getting close to too big -- so it lasts a looooong time!

I really like an inflatable tub, inside the big tub. It worked great when ds was first sitting.

I bought this one after she outgrew the sling thing I had based on the recommendations on this board and it's great!

We have this one too and DD loves it (she's 14 weeks). We stopped using the sling maybe 2 weeks ago, now she loves to splash in the bottom part. It looks awkward IMO, where she sits, but she likes it and is comfy.

Chat Icon Chat Icon I know. Tonight he was all scrunched down and looked really uncomfortable - but he was loving it so I guess it can't be that bad!
