infant carseat? (w/ pics)

hey! i'm registering at bru and picked the Peg Perego pliko stroller in mint. we want to get the matching infant car seat but there are 2 versions offered (same price and same year.) this is probably a silly question but...

the 1st one has a boot but it doesn't describe it and say if it's fully removable. i like it better but not if the boot doesn't come off all the way. do you think it does? whats the difference between 1 and 2? i'll post the pics and the bru description.

Know what happens when you assume but I would ASSUME that the boot is removable.

Is #1 slightly wider?

the SIP enables you to use the seat longer (the height/weight maximum are an inch longer and a few pounds heavier) I personally switched Bella before she hit the old max anyway because I just couldn't carry her anymore.

the huge difference though is the SIP carseat can be used with our without the base and that is awesome. We had the old one and had to buy an extra base for 60 bucks for both our cars and had to lug the base on an airplane, because you cannot use it without it, very annoying...

ETA: either way, it's an awesome carseat...I loved it, and it's SOOOOO easy to use...we had the stroller too.

the boot is removable........it snaps off

I'd go with #2
