Infant mommies...what size holiday clothes??

I want to start by saying I am overhere trying to figure this out.

DS is 6 months. He's been wearing 6-9 pants for....well anytime it has been cool enough for pants in the last 2 months...because he needs the length. I'm trying to figure out his holiday clothes now while there is still ample selection, but I have no idea what size to put him in! He'll be 9 months then. Considering he is wearing about half of his 6-9 month stuff already (probably should be wearing more of it, but some of his 3-6 are so cute that I can't put them away yet ) is it safe for me to buy 9-12 month for Christmas?

He grows so much that I barely know what he'll be wearing the next week, let alone in 3 months

I would buy 9-12. If he has the length he should be fine with the larger size.

I am in the opposite situation. DDs are 5.5 months and still wearing 0-3 month clothing! They will be 7 months for Christmas. I am assuming they will be staying on the smaller side for a while, so I'm going to buy 3-6 month dresses for Christmas.

How much does he weigh now? Height?
DD is 8.5 months old and wearing 12 months, or 12-18 months. She's big for her age...probably at least 21 lbs and 30".
She really needs the bigger size for pants because she's tall and needs the length.
