Inflation Spinoff- Gas and Water
My father made a good point this weekend.
Ever notice how everyone complains about the price of gas going up (Over $3.00 a gallon) BUT people gladly pay more than that for bottled water and not complain?
Just thought that was an interesting observation...

Just another reason bottled water is a total sham.
People also gladly pay that for a cup of coffee.

The supermarket I go to has one of those cards you keep on your keychain. I save between $11 and $20 a week, so I don't mind paying for water. I have not had tap water in over 15 years, it is my choice to pay for water. If others prefer tap, it is their choice. JMHO

I do this too...
BUT- I also complain about gas prices.
I should really buy a Brita or Pur filter for the faucet.

Many people do not realize that one of the major reasons the price of oil/gas goes up, is to make products such as BOTTLED water. More oil is used to produce goods in factories than ever would be used on the road driving cars.
Because we live in a "throw away" and "convienence" society, this is what jacks up the oil prices because our factories and subsequently our economy and frankly, "wasteful" society (in terms of products) cannot surive without oil.
