Insatiable Hunger
I went from almost keeping nothing down for three months to this insatiable hunger. Nothing I seem to do makes me feel full. Did anyone else have this? What did you do? How long did it last?

Re: Insatiable Hunger
I pretty much ate as much as I wanted, and I'm glad I did, because I found the hunger came in "phases"-- for days I'd be insatiably hungry, and then for days I would just feel hardly any appetite at all. Not sick, just not too hungry. This is how most of the 2nd trimester went.
Now in the 3rd trimester (almost 34 wks), I find that eating too much gives me heartburn.

Re: Insatiable Hunger
Deb, YES YES and YES. Dont worry it will stop. I had morning sickness first like you, then I couldnt stop eating and was always hungry and then the next phase was I didnt want to eat anything. Nothing appealed to me at all! I had to force myself to eat. Now, I'm pretty much back to "normal" but I eat small snacks/meals every couple of hours instead of 3 big meals.

Re: Insatiable Hunger
ME ME!! My morning sickness is getting better and I am soooooo hungry all the time.
The doctor said this would happen.
I cringe when I think of getting on the scale next week for my next appointment.

Re: Insatiable Hunger
Deb I went through the same thing, m/s then ate everything in site, then kind of went back to normal eating habits.
There are still times now at 27 weeks that nothing can fill up, i wait 15 min, drink some water, and if i am still hungry then I eat a snack.
Eat when your hungry that's what I did, just don't fill up on empty calories.

Re: Insatiable Hunger
I too have the insatiable hunger. For me, I feel hungry, eat a meal and then I feel full. About 1/2 hour later, I have hunger pains again. I know I can't be hungry -- the food hasn't even gone down yet. It's very annoying. I try to just have something to drink to satisfy the "hunger pains".
