Insignia Steakhouse Smithtown
Anyone been? I heard it is pricey..like $100 for a steak? Is it worth it?

Just like blackstone (same owner) or like a tellers or a prime... Ruth's Chris, all along the same line of food/pricing. Personally, I am not a fan of blackstones steak... Their other food is good but I much prefer tellers, ruth's, or prime for steak specifically. So when I go there or their other locations I try to order other things.

Unless it's a Porterhouse for 2 or something- I can't imagine it being $100 for a steak...I've gone to some of the most pricey steak houses in Manhattan and the steaks weren't that much.
If it is- I can't imagine it's worth it- unless I get my own cow to take home!

ive never been to Insignia. Ive been to Rare650 which I really love and Blackstone, all the same owners. But someone I know just went to Insignia and wasnt a fan for the prices...said Blackstone was much better

We went for my birthday. It's overpriced IMO. The food was good, not GREAT but the atmosphere is very nice. Great bar/crowd. I'd rec going if you're with a group - just with DH, go somewhere else.

I was there for dinner and one night just went for a drink at the bar. The restaurant is beautiful. I will be honest, for the prices we paid for dinner, the food was okay, but we all felt the service was lacking. I have been to high end restaurants and had better service, so I was expecting more. If I remember correctly, most entries ran from $50- $100 a plate. Drinks in the bar are very pricey too.
