Installing/wiring for chandelier
I would like to put a small chandelier in my daughter's room. There is no ceiling lighting in there now. How complicated is it to put in a fixture when it's totally new? Would they have to rip up a lot of the ceiling? TIA.

Installing/wiring for chandelier
We had ceiling fans and lights installed in every room of our house last year when we bought it. We already had switches that controlled outlets so they did not need to install those. The damage was a lot less than I originally thought it would be. It was a small section of ceiling to the middle of the room. Our electrician actually repaired most of what he did as he went along. Totally worth it in my opinion.

Re: Installing/wiring for chandelier
It depends on which way the ceiling joists are going, and if there is an unfinished attic above. If the joists are in your favor, then it's pretty simple. If there is an unfinished attic above the room, it's also pretty simple. If there is a finished room above, and the joists are perpendicular to the path from the center of the room to the door/light switch, it's more complicated.
