Insurance co-pay
When I went to my doctor for the first time, I was told that I would have no copayment after I gave them my insurance information. I just received a letter from the hospital which says my co-pay is $200. I mean, it is not that much money but I wonder why it is different than what I was told...I am going to call my insurance now
Either way, thank god for insurance
how much are you girls paying for the delivery?

Same for me, but my hospital co-pay was $250 with Nate.
I have different insurance now and I know I have to meet a $1K deductible since everything up til now has been covered at 100%. Not sure if I have to pay a co-pay for hospital visit.

Re: Insurance co-pay
Did your insurance change? They added a deductible for 2007 for mine.
I would check with your insurance and the dr. to make sure every match up what it is suppose to.

I know my copay went from 30-40 for a specialist as of 2007 so maybe this was another change

Re: Insurance co-pay
Up until February, my insurance co-pay for hospitalization was $300. As of Feb. 1, they dropped the co-pay, so we pay nada to have the baby!!! Same exact coverage, they just dropped teh co-pay for some odd reason!!!
Still, can't beat insurance!! I would definitely investigate the change though, if I were you. They make lots of mistakes!

Re: Insurance co-pay
Well I just called and the hospital and doctor are covered at 100% but the $200 is called a confinement fee (anytime you are in the hospital for more than 24 hours they charge you this fee)

Ok, well it's good you checked. Love the term "confinement fee"-- sounds like they're not going to let you out!
