Re: insurance coverage for formula question.
What insurance company do you have and who is it under ( whose employer and what employer ...you can FM me if needed).
Call your insurance and tell them ( if your in NY) its mandated, and ask if you are exempt from that mandate and if they say yes, ask them WHY.
If they seem unsure, get a supervisor on the phone....They are the ones who know whats going on.
I used to work for Empire BCBS, FM me more details and I can help you.

Re: insurance coverage for formula question.
Before I got mine approved, I got lots donated from the Enfamil rep through my Dr's office-you can ask your ped(I used Nutramigen AA which is the same thing as Neocate and Elecare-I have 7 cans left-do you want them?)

yes, call that number, tell them that your childs needs this formula...they will tell you to fax a letter of necessity and demographics from your Ped...they take care of the rest in trying to get the formula covered or appealing if the insurance denies it
