Insurance not covering Level II?

I got a phone call from Huntington Hospital that they called my insurance for approval and they said no!? Has this ever happened to anyone else? I thought this was a standard test?

Re: Insurance not covering Level II?

Is it a regular Level II or a 3d one?

Re: Insurance not covering Level II?

my insurance has been giving me a hard time regarding sonos in general - saying tah i am only allowed to have three the whole pregnancy and since i was bleeding early on and had one at this appointment and then am scheduled for the ultrascreen on monday - they are giving me a hard time!!!

ive been dealing with them and the drs office and they will now approve them if they are deemed "medically necessary" by the MD (which of course they are)

so each time - i have to get a letter saying it is medically necessary - and then they pay for it...

maybe call and ask if this would work for you too!

I remember this way back when but I thought it was pretty much routine now...

I would first look through your Explanation of Benefits under prenatal care and see what it says...some insurance companies might still only cover Level II if there appears to be a need...
