Insurance Question
We are doing IUI which are completely covered with DH's insurance for unlimited cycles.
The RE said he wants us to try IUI for 3/4 months then move on to IVF. IVF isn't covered w/ DH's insurance but on my insurance, it is. BUT I am not enrolled. So my question is can I be enrolled in both medical insurances or is that not allowed?

Re: Insurance Question
yes but only on open enrollment. Most firms open enrollment periods are over. Maybe you can call your benefits department and get added.
The only other way you could get added to your health plan is if you lost the coverage that your DH has. It's a qualifying event.
I would call your benefits dept asap and get added because if you go for IVF it will be big bucks!

My HR rep came by Tues. to confirm if I want to be added or not and I said no. I'm going to see her today and get this taken care of... Thanks!

yes. Also find out exactly what the IF benefits are. They really vary and some pay for certain things and not for others.
Make sure your paying the additional premium makes sense.

I spent nearly all morning on the phone with Oxford to get the logistics on the IF info. I just have to take care of the paperwork now. Thanks!!
