interest rates for those with poor credit
for those of you who have gotten a mortgage with poor credit, how high was your interest rate? Was it a real struggle to get approved bc of your credit? TIA

I used to work with HUD and the FHA program so if you have poor credit, you may want to explore getting an FHA insured mortgage. It is very attractive for people with poor credit. There are some restrictions like mortgage limits though, so be sure to do some research. Currently the mortgage limit in Nassau County is $362,790 for a one-family.

FHA is a good option if you have poor credit. However, FHA loans do require alot if not all of your charge-off's to be paid before hand...that's if you have any. Good Luck.

They have alot of info on there and they even have a site for mortgages with mortgage brokers answering questions. Good Luck.
