Interested in joining a charity organization?
I am a member of WGIRLS NYC and our new Long Island Chapter is just starting! We have chapters all over the world and decided LI was our next target! As a group, we attend fun exciting events while hosting and assisting charities across the tri-state area.
WGIRLS is an all-women organization with a purpose of providing underprivileged women and children across the United States, and globally in times of international crisis, with the support and resources necessary to achieve health, happiness, and the ability to lead productive and successful adult lives.
The first LI chapter event we hosted was a prom dress drive at the South Shore Mall. It was a huge success.

This looks interesting, can I ask what the average age range of the members is? From the pictures, it looks to be on the younger side. I am interested, but 31 and a mom of two, so looking for something geared towards an older YP population.

I'm 30 (31 in October) and I'd say the range is about 25-35. There are a few of us married ladies but most of the women are basically single (and we get to live vicariously through them )
With that said, the younger girls are probably the most active (as they usually have the most free time) and someone like me who has a husband and a pretty demanding job, I do what I can. Then again, I also don't have kids yet so I know "demanding" to a mother means something else than it does to me  . I also don't know the demographics of LI chapter but I do know that one of my very good friends from LIW is 31 and is a member!
