I read that article in tears.
I'm 38 and dh is 47 and we've been trying for a year with no luck. IUI #1 didn't work either.
I am afraid of just this. Am I a horrible person for admitting that I am scared to death of having a child with a genetic disease?
I don't know what life has in strore for us, and I can honestly say that I'm not sure I could handle it if I did have a child with special needs.
I hear that "god gives you what you need, not what you want", so I wonder if a child is even in my future.
Sorry, I think I'm particularly hormonal today.

Oh Suzy, don't apologize. We have all had days like that. I wonder the same things all the time & worry if we are ready for this and what we can handle - and there really aren't always answers. Keep the faith!
