Internet and no cable tv/Hulu plus
Does anyone just have Internet and no cable tv? I'm going to call Verizon to see how much it will be for me to just have net. Hulu plus is only $8 month.

we dont, but my SIL/BIL have just hulu and i think apple TV. They love it.
we have direct TV and added the netflix box. I think HULU is better for tv shows.

We just have our roku. Cable was such a waste of money for a whole bunch of nothing. We just have internet and hulu. DS gets what he wants on netflix and we get to watch our fox shows on hulu

How much is your Internet bill and what is provider? I will have to look up Roku

We got rid of cable about a month ago. Right now, we just have the basic channels (2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13...) and honestly it is not that bad. We do LOVE The Walking Dead so on Monday night we buy it and watch it - still MUCH cheaper than cable.
My family all  when we made the switch, but a month in and I can still always find something to watch when I want!

My girls already spend more time on their iPads than watching tv. Plus we don't have screens on unless its related to hw Monday - Thursday. Our tv is a waste of $60 a month.

This is us too! We have amohu leaf antennae for the bedroom and another antennae fire the living room. The bedroom just gets over the air channels but excellent quality. We have aroku box in the living room. We have Amazon prime so we get tins of shows through that then we stream Netflix and gets more. We have regular hulu and dh moves it from the computer monitor to the tv somehow. We past 50$ for internet. We now put the cable money into a bank account for ds.

And diyWe have had this set up for8 months. I misshgtv and diy and natgeo, but if i go to those websites i can still watch all the shows.

For those concerned about certain channels that are part of cable such as MTV. Many of their shows are online. I watch Teen Mom, Jersey Shore, True Life, etc on their web site and there are less commercials. Plus I can watch whenever I want. TLC is a little more stingy with their full episodes, but whatever. You do get some shows from TLC on Hulu, but it depends on the show.
ETA: To my knowledge there isnt live news on hulu, BUT if you get a roku you can get live news.

We pay $20 for time warner very basic cable. We actually also get TBS, weather channel, ion, and maybe one ESPN channel?
A lot of shows you are not able to watch on the internet. My DH likes The Colbert Report and The Daily Show and we are able to stream them through regular HULU.

I wish, I would LOVE to do this but the DH won't bc he would lose his sports, which you can't get on Hulu, obviously.
