Interview attire
Is it still customary for a woman to wear a suit to an interview? I always have but DH thinks for females it's not a requirement.

Finance.....which in my opinion it's a must. I guess in certain other industries I could understand.

Re: Interview attire
I have always worn a suit on interviews, but I'm kind of old-school (and old ). I don't think it's a must, but I just feel like it shows respect to the person who's interviewing you.

Definitely a suit for that industry.

I just feel like why not err on the side of caution. Nobody will look down on you for being overdressed for an interview, but they might look badly on you for being under dressed. Why take the chance when it's one thing you can easily control, kwim?

Interview attire
I usually wear suits. Or if I am coming straight from work, blazers over dresses.
ETA - the last SVP I interviewed with was wearing jeans and I still didn't feel like I wasn't dressed appropriately.

Re: Interview attire
I vote for suit. I had an internal interview today and was debating what to wear. I thought I could go more casual since it was internal. But ultimately I felt most comfortable wearing a suit, I would rather they think I was over dressed. I am also in finance.
Good luck!

Interview attire
i vote for suit... for all the reasons already given.
i fall under the i'm old-fashioned and old demographics... if that matters.
when DS interviewed for a package handler position (warehouse work), he wore a suit.

Interview attire
I don’t think wearing suits to interviews is “old.” I interviewed 2-3 years ago and wore a suit to every interview. I was in my early 30’s. Same with DH. I used to interview candidates for entry level jobs and they almost all wore suits. They were 22 years old. This was only 2 years ago. Things couldn’t have changed that much!
