Interview in NJ tomorrow... need help figuring out when to leave!
I have a second interview at 11AM tomorrow in NJ- not too far off of the George Washington bridge. Mapquest said it is slightly over an hour.
I have no idea how early to leave. I am not sure how much traffic I will hit. I am thinking 9-9:15... too late or too early? Anyone travel this way?
PS- the interview is at the corporate office, the job would be on Long Island

I would leave at 9am. that's right after rush hour and even if you hit some traffic, that should leave you with plenty of time
GOOD LUCK!!!!!

First good luck!
I would even leave earlier I hate to say it. I would rather not have that feeling in my gut about being late. I would rather get there early and sit in my car and listen to the radio. You never know about traffic on the cross bronx and the GW bridge. It has taken me an hour and it has taken me 2.5 hrs! One disabled tractor trailer and it's curtains!
Leave early, give yourself the time.

The route RandMcNally is showing is LIE to Cross Island to Throggs Neck to Cross Bronx... not on any one parkway for more than 15 miles... I am not familiar with these highways and bridges... How would I get to the triboro and would that still take me to the GW?

I don't know where from LI you are coming to NJ from (I live in NJ). But the Northern State turns into the Grand Central Parkway which will take your right to the Tri Bourough Bridge. Once over the bridge, you will see a sign for the GW. You will pass Yankee Stadium and see the exit for the GW (I think it's 7C..but don't quote me on that!) This exit will bring you just about to the entrance of the GW.
GL!
ETA: My dad lives in Pt. Jeff, I live in North Jersey, with no traffic and taking the bridges it takes me about 90 minutes to get to my father's house.
More often than not though, I cut through the city via the tunnels.

I agree I would leave at 8:30. If you get there early, then you can get breakfast or something. I always prefer to be early that way you don't have to worry about being late.
