Interviewing a Babysitter Today...
What important questions should I ask??? TIA.
Also, what's the going hourly rate these days for a babysitter in her mid-20's, Master's degree, looking for extra $ for the Summer?

Just wanted towish you luck Andrea. I'm sure you will already ask if CPR certified. But I would also ask when?and where? I would probably pose some scenario questions. Like what would you do if.....? Let us know how it works out

Ugh, thanks! I'm so nervous, I've only left Alex with family members, so this is hard, but she needs to get used to other people.

What kind of experience do you have with children?
How do you handle tantrums?
These are some good ones

My favorite...Why do you want to babysit instead of working in retail or places like that? What types of activities do you like to do with your charges?

Re: Interviewing a Babysitter Today...
Im a nanny, I make $500 a week for 45 hours and $15 per hour overtime at my m-f job. Weekend sitting I make between $10-18 per hour depending on how far I have to travel, and how many children there are.
