Invisalign - or orthodonist recommendations

Does anyone have experience with these?? Even after wearing traditional braces twice, my overbite is still really bad - mainly because I was not good about wearing my retainers. I just read an article about the invisalign, but I'm curious about actual cases - or some good orthodonists.

Thanks!!

Re: Invisalign - or orthodonist recommendations

I got braces as an adult. When I got mine invisalign was so new. I was reluctant to go with them b/c I didn't know of whether or not the time would be the same. I went with the clear wire. My retainer was what they use for invasalign and it wasn't bad at all. You can hardly tell you have it on.

I would ask your ortho about the time frame for invisalign.

eta: I would recommend mine.....but, overall, I didn't really care for him. And I don't even remember his name. LOL

Not sure where you are located, but I know of a very good Ortho in Port Jeff Station, who also does Invisalign. Let me know if you want his info

She has an office in the city and one in Woodbury.
I go to the one in the city because I go during my lunch hour. 40th Street between Park and Madison Ave. Ask to speak to Ava...she's the receptionist...a sweetheart.....she is very helpful and will give you all the information you need. You can probably go to the Woodbury office. I don't go because I go to all of my DR's appointment here in the city because I want to use my time around home for other things, unless it's an emergency ofcourse. They usually provide a free screening and tell you exactly the treatment you will need and how much it will cost you and the time it will take. And the office is meticuously clean which is very important to me besides the professionalism and the expertise knowledge.
I had one tooth shifting a bit and I went before my other teeth started shifting as well. And it's better if you go when the problem first starts..this will save you $$$$ which is what I did.
And I think this is the only way I could have done it. I can't see myself wearing all those clear permanent braces or the wire ones. The invisalign trays can be removed when you are going to eat or if you are drinking any colored drinks. Such a convenience.
Sooo worth it in my opinion. There's nothing like a beautiful smile.Chat Icon
