iPhone or iPod Touch
My IL's are very generous at Christmas and spend a nice amount on everyone in the family. I told my SIL I'd like an iPod touch for X mas since I already have a tmobile phone and contract(the Slide-which totally sux but I digress) My DH said we should just get the iPhone -one for him and 1 for me and 1 for him cancel Tmobile and pay the fee. What do you think. How is the phone technology on the iPhone? can't I do the same exact things with the Touch-except phone calls?

Re: iPhone or iPod Touch
The iTouch doesn't have a microphone... no videos or applications that require a microphone. Really not a big deal for me, but for you...?
Can't think of any other difference off hand.

Re: iPhone or iPod Touch
the ipod touch requires wifi to use the internet. so unless you live somewhere where you have constant access to good wifi it can be really frustrating. a lot of the applications rely on an internet connection to work so no wifi, no apps. i had an ipod touch and i just sold it because i found i wasn't really getting anything out of the special features. if the phone service wasn't so expensive i would definitely get an iphone. so imo, if you have the choice go for the iphone.
