iPOd - FM transmitter
I need to get one for DH iPod, can someone tell me exactly what this is called?
I remember seeing in the ipod aisle at Target several items that I thought might be the gadget that lets you play your ipod through your car radio or stereo. Are there different brands that do the same thing?
Thx

iTrip is a wireless transmitter - I like it.
There's also iCar Play. That charges your iPod at the same time.

I had gotten the one that looks like a tape that you just pop into the tapeplayer and it is supposed to play. I got it from the apple store, it worked great on our stereo at home, but for some reason it never worked in our cars. It kept popping out of the tape deck. So, I wouldn't reccomend that kind.

Re: iPOd - FM transmitter
I opted for the AirPlay over the one just for the car - so I can transmit to my car radio, stereo at home if I'm not the in the room with a computer or Bose stereo, etc.
I like it alot & usually transmit to 88.3. You need a station that doesn't come in well so you don't get interference.
eta: Airplay uses the iPod for power - so for long trips you will need a charger
