iPod question...
My mom has an iPod that we got her for Christmas. It's the 80gb one w/ songs and video. My Dh bought me an iPod touch for my birthday, which finally arrived today!! Can I download some of my mom's songs into my iPod? If so, how? This is my first iPod and I'm completely clueless. I just figured out how to download pictures from my own computer but don't have any songs on my computer so I wanted to use hers. If I can, do I sync my iPod to her computer or do I sync her iPod to my computer? I'm so lost...

Re: iPod question...
You need to sync your iPod up to her computer to do that. There are ways to get info from an iPod onto a computer, but you're not supposed to be able to do that. If you can get to her house, syncing to her computer will be MUCH easier.

Re: iPod question...
I think (not positive though) that each account/computer can sync with unlimited iPods, so you can just sync your iPod with her computer. I don't remember though if you can take those songs from your iPod and then get them onto your computer- because if not then the next time you want to sync with your computer you may lose them (not exactly sure how this works though).

After you get the songs from your mom's computer to yours, make sure you always MANUALLY sync your iPod on your computer. Pretty sure you will lose your songs otherwise (if you automatically sync).

Yes! This is true. Your iPod has to be set to manually sync in order for it not to wipe out the songs you downloaded from your mom's computer.

Re: iPod question...
I'm confused ... I can sync my mom's shuffle to my computer (with songs that she wants) and download my songs to her shuffle?

Re: iPod question...
You sure can. Just manually sync it so she doesn't lose whatever she already has on there.

LOL!! She doesn't have anything on it (she got it for opening a bank acct)!!! (Her CD drive isn't working and I didn't want her paying to download stuff I already have).
THANKS! I guess I'll look into it!
