godbless ya, ya crazy hole!! You must be young, I have 3 and I could not imagine having kids less than a year to 1 year apart. But one of my betfriends has 4 kids and the last 2 are 13 months apart and she does fine (she and her hubby are from Ireland )

Re: "Irish Twins"
I think DH is almost one. Me personally I think I would DIE! Our original 3 years apart is seeming a little too close for me.

Mine are 13 months apart. The doc that said we couldn't get pg again on our own was a bit wrong. :)

Re: "Irish Twins"
I thought "Irish Twins" was when you had two children born in the same year but different pregnancies. For example one born in January 07 and another baby November 07.

I looked it up: Irish twins is a slang term that refers to siblings born 9 to 12 months apart - usually in the same calendar year, or who are in the same class in school. The term is considered both endearing and misguided (for instance, Irish birthrate is about same as USA birthrate, see birth rate). It references a perception about families of Irish Catholics who may not use birth control (and thus may have children in quicker succession), but it is often used endearingly by the families of the "twins" themselves.
Similarly, Irish triplets means three children in three years.
It should be noted, however, that these terms are unheard of in Ireland

Re: "Irish Twins"
Me and my brother loved being the same age for those weeks.
That is the reality, at your kids first b-day, you are standing there holding a newborn
We are June, May, then June(my sister)
My mother said she was so dizzy from no time to eat and constantly picking up kids and toys that she would wipe herself out.

LOL!!
I'm not that young...that's why my DH and I want to punch these kids out ASAP! If I'm exhausted now, I can't imagine what I'll be like when I'm a couple years older!! Plus we want our parents to be able to enjoy their grandchildren while they still can.
Something tells me that we won't be having Irish Twins (at least not 12 mos apart), since I think we missed our "window of opportunity".
My sister and I are Irish Twins (we're 1 yr and 6 days apart) and I think it was great growing up with someone so close in age. (Plus my mom got off cheap by having combined birthday parties for us! )

Re: "Irish Twins"
my SIL had twins and then another baby 1 year and 1 week later...I WOULD DIE!
HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL THAT DO THIS but it has to be so hard. I was thinking today that if I gt PG right now, Bella would be 22 months and THAT is too close for me.

Re: "Irish Twins"
I would love to have kids this close together, but there's no way we could do it. We have family watching James when I go back to work, but I don't think they'd watch two little babies at once!
