Is 3pm too late for a backyard b-day party to start?

Last year we did 2pm, leaning towards 3pm this year.

Is that too late to start? We're doing pizza, salads, ziti, etc.

ETA: The party is Sat. July 3rd, if that matters....so it's over the holiday weekend.

I agree with everyone else-not too late at all. Perfect time for a summer party.

I don't think it's too late. That's the start time we picked for DS's first birthday this weekend. Chat Icon

Funny that you posted this. That's always my start time for Saturday bbq's. I feel like it gives me enough time to get ready and if the guests have weekend errands they still have time to get them out of the way first and then enjoy the party.

I don't think so. 3pm is fine but it does sound smack in the middle of a toddler nap time thoughChat Icon
