is anyone avoiding nuts?
I read that if the mother has allergies, she should avoid nuts so that the allergy is not passed on. I really love nuts, but I really hate having allergies so I haven't been eating them. Anyone read the same or have an opinions?

I've read that, but don't have a nut allergy so I didn't avoid them either time. Sarah won't be introduced to nuts for at least another year, so I don't know if she is or isn't.
I am allergic to mushrooms, so I avoid those like the plague pregnant or not.
I have bad allergies to dust, pollen, etc. and the days my allergies are really bad she sneezes a lot, so I worry that she inherited those.

I read the same exact thing. I had a peanut allergy as a child, and grew out of it, but my doctor told me to stay away from nuts to avoid passing the allergy onto the baby. I'd kill for some peanut butter, too!

hmm...I didn't hear that, but my Dr. told me not to eat the foods that I am allergic to because even though I am allergic, I may not have had an attack previously but now that I am pg I am more suseptable to have a severe attack.

really? oh geez, I am allergic to so many foods, but I had years of shots to help..

Im not avoiding them, I did read that but not allergic to any foods, neither is DH.
