Is anyone else a giant scaredy cat in crowded settings?

I went to a wedding last night and it was really fun but I couldn't completely have a good time and dance with my friends because I was so so afraid that someone was going to spill their drink and I would fall or they would fall or they would just knock into me or someone drunk would do something stupid and I'd get hurt. I decided it was better just not to dance. But then everytime I had to go to the bathroom, I was so nervous to walk across the dance floor!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I'm like this in school too - we're supposed to stand in the hallways during passings and I'm always on guard, thinking something terrible is going to happen!

I am! But even when I'm not preggo. Yesterday we were in the city to see Yo Gabba Gabba with our DD. We stopped at McDonalds on the way back to Penn. We were on the 2nd floor and a fight broke out on the 3rd floor. People were literally running down the stairs from the 3rd floor. I got so scared (especially everything on the news with shootings, etc.) I looked at DH and was like LET"S GO! It was very scary! Totally understand how you feel! Chat Icon

I am with you there. I tend to avoid very crowded places anyways and now it is even worse. I am also a teacher and I have been instructed by my principal to stay out of the halls during the passing. We had a fight break out last year and a pregnant teacher got shoved. Nothing happened to her but it was still scary. So I have been instructed to stay out of the crowds at school and he even told me to take the elevator (we need a key) at all time. I don't go as far as the elevator (unless I am carrying a lot of stuff) but I stay out of the halls.
