Is anyone else starting to get really scared about giving birth?
I wasnt nervous about it at all until I was hospitalized recently...now that its getting closer(Im almost 32 weeks) Im starting to worry about tearing and the actual point when the baby is coming out...anyone else getting nervous?

I am starting to freak out. My doctor assures me that it will be fine though. She said i should be more worried about having to take care of the baby than about delivery!

Scared is not the word for what I am. I've been scared of giving birth before I was even pregnant. I'm not scared of the contractions(which I know is the painful part) i'm scared to death of the baby coming out. I'm also scared of getting the Epidural because i'm petrified of needles. And lets add i'm scared to death of not being the same..."down there"

It scares me too. I'm a little less frightened since I started to read about delivery and DH and I watched a DVD on the subject, but it's still really scary.
I'm also worried about taking care of the baby afterwards, though my parents will be staying with us for about a month after the baby's birth, which I think helps.

Me too!!!! I am scared of everything from birth itself and the epidural to all of the people who are going to be down there poking and prodding....ughhh!!!

Its so weird because I never thought about it before at all. I guess being on bedrest and watching the baby story every day doesnt help either.

totally freaked, but we have been so busy working on our house that I basically have zero time to even think about it.
I guess stressing over other things can be a blessing in disguise.

I haven't really given it much thought. I'm 28 weeks and I guess as I get closer I'm sure I'll start to freak, but for right now I'm ok.

I'm starting to...I had a growth sono today at 34 weeks and they are measuring a BIG baby.  I may have to decide whether or not to have a C-section in advance, which I wasn't expecting. I am trying not to think to much about it until after my next sono in a few weeks.

petrified, terrified, horrified - and these words don't even BEGIN to describe how I feel about it!!!!
Honestly, that is why I just don't think about it. Thats right, I am 35 weeks - and I pretend this baby will come out some other way.. magically!
Seriously, I really try not to think about the actual L&D process. My DH is a dr. and I focus on that. That he will be there to make sure I am OK, and he will get through it - because he has good bedside manners and knows how to 'behave' in those stressful situations.
