I am! I got my CNA through Farmingdale University LIEOC; it was a m-f FT program. I love what I do, i work in the hospital in a cardiac step-down unit and i couldnt tell you how much experience I have gained. Some people say "i don't know how you do that" line of work, i see TONS of stuff and it's not for the weak stomached. I have also worked in a nursing home which is nice because you get to build a relationship with the residents; personally I like the fast pace and constant change of the hospital setting. I've worked everywhere from the ER to pediatrics
I just graduated nursing school this past June and work as both a nurse and a CNA and plan on continuing my nursing education. Like I said before, I find that my career as a CNA has given me such excellent experience that I use now as a nurse.

Some nursing homes actually have the programs, when I did it 14 years ago it was three weeks full time and I took my state exam at the nursing home that sponsored it. I then went on to complete nursing school and then radiography school which I love. I think that Brookhaven hospital has a CNA program. Best of luck to you:)
