Is anyone interested in a parakeet or two? NOW WITH PICS

My old lab is slowly winding down due to lack of funds and I told them I would find homes for the birds that weren't currently being used in experiments (behavioral experiments...we study hearing and perception in birds).

The birds are all 7or 8 years old. Parakeets generally live until about 10 years, so these birds are fairly old and would probably live just a few years. But they lived their life in a lab, so they deserve a good life outside of the lab too.

I took some cell phone pictures that aren't great. I'll try to post them. If you are interested and tell me what color you like, I can try to catch a better picture of those birds with my regular camera. Generally there is yellow, green, and blue.

I'm be stopping over in NY the next 2 weekends, and the weekend of the 4th of July if you want me to bring you a bird. Also I'll be in at the end of August.

Oh God, I wish I could but we already have a zoo at home. I hope these babies get a good home to live out their lives. You are such a great person for trying to find them a home.
