Is anyone NOT getting a convertible crib
I have been looking at cribs (mostly online for ideas) and it seems like they are all convertible cribs now. I dont want a convertible one, just a regular one. Any ideas where I can go to see a nice selection of cribs that arent convertible? TIA

I didn't want one. We got ours at BRU, it's the Jardine Olympia collection I believe (they make a convertible and a regular crib).

Re: Is anyone NOT getting a convertible crib
When you say "not convertible", do you mean a crib that doesn't turn into a full size bed? I think that most cribs that don't turn into full size beds do turn into toddler beds....at least that is the gist that I got when I went crib shopping.
I didn't want a crib that turns into a full size bed b/c (1) I plan on using the crib for more babies, so it was pointless, and (2) the cribs that turn into full size beds don't have drop sides- I'm short and have a bad back- so this was not an option for me. I got a Pali crib at Behr's- they had a lot to choose from.

Sorry, my answer was brief but here are my ideas/reasons. I dont want a convertible crib because I am short and also need drop sides, we plan to have another baby ( ) soon after this one so I would reuse the crib and I have a brand new twin size bed and matching bedroom set I would use after the crib stage. I guess I will check out Behrs as well. Thanks!

Re: Is anyone NOT getting a convertible crib
I felt the same way and did not even look at stationary cribs. I only looked at cribs with dropped sides.
I ended up at Bellini's but I saw plenty of options at Sukons, Behr's, and Buy Buy Baby.

Re: Is anyone NOT getting a convertible crib
I think most of the cribs with the wheels on them in the middle of the aisle at BBB are regular cribs

Re: Is anyone NOT getting a convertible crib
We got our non-convertible at BRU. There are new ones out that convert and have drop sides. We almost got that one, but we also thought about the 2nd baby idea.

Re: Is anyone NOT getting a convertible crib
I have a non convertible crib that has a drop side.
I got mine at Sears. BRU has them too.
With our current house, we would not have the ability to have a full size bed in the baby's room so we saw not purpose to get that feature.

I'm not...no room for a big bed in the bedroom we chose to use for the nursey.

Re: Is anyone NOT getting a convertible crib
Ours only converts to a toddler bed if you buy the rails. We had to have a sliding side and they usually don't convert. We got ours at Behr's.
