Is anyones DHor SO more sentimental than you are?
MY dh is soooooo sentimental! especially with things from his family....
And this cuases fights! He gets mad if i read a thank you card and then throw it out....he will be like "do you REALLY read it?
he gets mad if i get a gift and dont use it right away...like i got an outdated wedding planning guide- very nice gesture but i liked using my little spiral notebook better...hes like "you better use that pllanning guide my mom gave you"
give me a break!
anyway, im not sentimental at all.....
why must i make a big fuss over every gift and every item and every long hand written card that i receive?
maybe i sound mean but im just not like that.

DH gets annoyed when he sees me throw out Thank YOu cards. What the he!! does he want me to do with them? Make some big TY collage, so that can collect dust too?
His mom always wants to give me her old crap and I don't want it. He's like, that's an heirloom. I'm like, no it's just old crap that she won't throw out herself.

My DH is very sentimental and I am not. He knows that I throw things away so he really does not argue because whether he argues or not it is going in the trash.

My FH is very sentimental -- not so much with gifts - but he saves everything
sports tropheys, school stuff, his match box cars from seriously 20+ years ago are still in his parent's attic
........everything is just collecting dust

He is a pack rat with things, I dont think its from sentiment or that he is borderline hoarder but I love to throw things away.

OMG TOTALLY! I say he is female all the time! We somehow reversed the roles. He is so into feelings, sending flowers, things looking pretty meanwhile I am anal and want things done...NOW! I am definitely more business oriented and hes more passive.

Yes my DH is a lot more sentimental then I am. If it is up to me I would throw out everything that I don't use constantly.
He is really only sentimental with family items and anything that was our son's when he was younger.
I just throw things away when he isn't home. He has never even noticed

We're equally sentimental over different things. We both like to save TY cards - if the person went out of their way and put a lot of thought into the TY. I have to say it really chaps my arse when I get a wedding TY or shower TY and all the person wrote was "thanks for your generous gift"
I save little things (whereas DH draws the line at TYs and cards from me) - movie stubs, plane tickets...I get it from my Poppie - he saved everything. So much so that we found $5k stashed in a secret drawer after he died

DH is not that sentimental per se, but he is VERY family-oriented. He always wants to spend time with his family and gets really serious about it. Like REALLY serious.
