Is Ceasar's Palace in the poconos really worth it?
DH and I want to go in June for our 1st anniversary. I want to treat ourselves to a resort, and I definitely want to try horseback riding since I've never been. So a place with nearby activities is a must. But are there resorts that are less expensive, but also just as nice?
I think the main thing with Ceasar's Palace is that you are paying for all inclusive which includes your meals. DH definitely likes to eat at different places while he's on vacation. I do too. So based on this, should we try to find another place to stay?
Any suggestions? Thanks!

DH & I really like it, though I *think* that horseback riding is not included. I suggest double-checking that.
As far as food goes, we've never been bored even though there's only one place. They have a lot of variety. Plus, you can have bfast in bed so really, you're only going to the restaurant once per day. You should also note that lunch is not included. DH and I usually go to the market and get cold cuts or we'll venture out to find something.

We've been. It was nice, but was very expensive. It includes breakfast and dinner, no alcohol, and the food was not gourmet... I don't know if we would go again. DH loved our private pool though.

I haven't been there in a very long time, but when I did go last I remember we had a very, very good time!!! I don't remember doing much outdoors, but then again we didn't leave the room much !

Re: Is Ceasar's Palace in the poconos really worth it?
Danielle and I went with our friends this past october.
I wrote a review on trip advisor about the place
First it is very secluded, which is nice. We basically passed the sign....Didnt even see it.
The people that work there are very nice and very helpful
The food was good. I cannot complain. The breakfast was excellent. We had room service once, and ate in the restaurant the other two days we were there.
The entertainment and night was really good. They have a little theatre, with a bar and they have comedians, music, singers etc....every night
Our first room had a real musty smell, and the next morning I noticed Mold on some of the furniture. Danielle and I and our friend Kathy woke up feeling sick and stuffed up. We complained and they gave us an upgrade to rooms with a Sauna, Private pool, Heart Shaped tub, fireplace, and new carpet and drapes.
The rooms were nice....but it felt like we were in the 70's lol.
There is a lot of walking, but there is also a bus that will take you all over the resort.
There are planned activities during the day, and dont forget to attend the XXX game on saturday afternoon....It will be something you will never forget.
On one of the days, we went to a local farm and we were able to buy Pies, and fresh fruits and stuff....and also found this huge wharehouse that was a flea market and bought stuff that we didnt need.
I would recommend going there......It was a good weekend Scott
