on my cats as long as DS doesn't touch them?

I thought so, but DH wanted to be sure so he asked me to come on and "ask the girls" LOL

Frontline is a pretty safe product, even if your LO touches it, just wash their hands.

My DH said it is ok hes a vet tech. But just try to keep the cat away from things that they may touch or put in their mouth. Doing it at night is the best time.

Re: Is Frontline (flea medicine) safe to use
I spoke with my vet, frontline, and did some research. They are assuring us that it is safe to use, that EVEN if a child got it on his or her hand and put it in their mouth (while wet liquid) that they would not get ill. That the might "foam" at the mouth but it cannot really hurt them as it can only harm tiny tiny fleas' nervous systems, not even a baby's. I use it b/c getting fleas would be way worse and way more dangerous to DD than the risk of coming into contact with the wet frontline.
So I have used it while pg, and use it now with DD around. I just make sure I keep DD from touching it for about 12 hrs. I put it on at night so it dries by the am.
