I don't know anything about Glen Cove, but if you could tell me about the Merrick Schools that would be awesome!

from what I've heard, Glen Cove isn't so great (reputation wise at least) but North Shore SD where some GC residents go has an excellent rep.

My friend lives in Glen Cove and has said they're not the greatest but I'm not sure how she knows this

i have a good friend who teaches in that district and says it is not that great.. if you want to live near glen cove, try to get into the locust valley school district, that is a great district!

I can comment about merrick schools. I'm a product of the Bellmore/Merrick School District. I went to mepham. but I'm buying a house in the Calhoun section. They are great schools!! You can't go wrong with any of them.

Glen Cove can be iffy depending on what resources you end up checking out... As a side note, a client of mine had highly recommended merrick school district when I mentioned I was looking for something in the general vicinity.

Elementary Schools are okay, but stay away from the Middle and High Schools. A lot of people that live in the Glen Cove District will send their children to private or Catholic Schools. It is a shame because there are some beautiful areas of Glen Cove.
North Shore and Locust Valley are fantastic and a ton better and are both neighboring districts.
