Is Human Food Bad for Cats?
I mean natural, no sauce, not processed,
i.e. a piece of white meat turkey with no seasoning/sauce, human grade tuna from a can, or a piece of white meat chicken baked? I figure this is what their food is made of?
Is all human food bad or just the processed stuff (i.e. chips, cakes, etc.)

We give our cats pieces of chiken, turkey, ham, cheese, etc. Only natural foods. Two of them are older than 20 and the other is a healthy 6 years old. I don't see a problem with it unless you know your cat has a difficult digestive system

we put chicken or turkey in our cats bowl when we have it for dinner. He loves it, and sine its all natural, I do not see any harm in it.

Re: Is Human Food Bad for Cats?
I think the only time it is bad is if they dont eat their regular food and get the required intake of nutrients that they need. This is not an issue for our cat since she eats whatever we put in front of her

As long as it is plain, then no problems. Onions and garlic are poisonous to cats and dairy isn't good for them.
Keep in mind that you cannot only give them this. They need taurine, which is found in many cat foods.

Re: Is Human Food Bad for Cats?
We give our cats a piece of white turkey or chicken and they BEG for tuna whenever we open a can so they get a little bit of that too. Also, cheese and small bits of egg. (They love all dairy!) But only in tiny amounts- they get their regular cat food for meals...

Thanks for this! I had no idea about the onions and garlic - since I put them in EVERYTHING, I will be careful.
I am not totally changing his diet, he just begs for food like a dog and sometimes when I make sunday night supper, I like to give him a little chicken, turkey, etc.

I give them (or they swipe it off my plate) chicken and turkey. They also love mamas homemade chicken soup.
They will eat anything though.

Only one of the cats eats human food - cheese and milk from DH's cereal bowl.
