Is it a good idea to use the mortgage broker that my real estate agent is recommending?
I am looking to buy a house and my real estate agent, who is a seller's agent, is recommending a particular mortgage broker. I definitely wouldn't use a lawyer or engineer recommended by the real estate agent because it seems it could be a conflict of interest. But what about a mortgage broker? Could I run into an issue if I use a mortgage broker recommended by the RE agent?

Its not a bad thing. They just have a friendship or working relationship so they recommend each other. Probably not much more than that, if you are interested I do mortgages so if you have any questions or would like to chat FM me and I will give you my e-mail address.

We did and it was great. We actually used him to refinance a few years later and I have recommended him to a ton of people.

I know the person I recommend professionally is the same person I used personally and had a great experience with.
Just shop around and make sure you are getting the best rate and not paying any hidden fees.

My real estate agent is one of my best friends mother, so when she recommended someone to us we used her...it was the same person her kids used as well when they bought their houses so i knew i could trust her

I am a realtor- I have a few mortgage bankers I recommend
I don't get anything in return except knowing that my buyers are getting first class service and attention
however - that being said- this is the sellers agent- you do realize that they do not work for you in any way? they have the sellers best interest in mind
