my opinion is yes...Ive been dying for it myself. It is high in mercury and its also salty butsome girls still eat it. My dr said no and I saw a news clip on it being bad. Who knows.

they told me it is fine to eat once in a while but b/c of the mercury it is not recommend to eat it often. i had such a craving for it the other day so i made myself a tuna fish sandwich - it was good!!!!

I just ordered a tuna wrap. I'm sure everything will be fine. I ate it a few time sin my first trimester, but haven't had it in like 4 months.  I love my tuna!

I am just overly cautious. I think everyone should do what they think is ok and of course dr thinks is ok. I am sure in the end all these things are just a bunch of tales.

Tuna is fine but it is high in mercury- But if you eat it once a month or so then, overall, it is not too much mercury. If you eat it everyday then it could be a problem.

I am allergic, but crave a tuna sandwich from subway so bad. I don't know if I would even enjoy it, it just sounds so good.

my dr said as long as you dont have more than one can a week its fine - I ate it a few time while I was prego and DD is fine. enjoy!

NO NO NO IT IS NOT BAD- it is fine!!!! and safe!!!! Light tuna in water only and 12 ounces a week! enjoy it!!!!!
this info comes from my g/f who is a doctor and ate tuna every week twice a week, my mom is an RN and her maternity buddies at stonybrook also said it was ok and safe and so did my doctor.
if you go to CBR website the cord blood bank website you can read about it there too. very safe to eat!

I did ask my doctor, he said it was safe too. stay away from tuna steaks and albacore tuna those are the ones that are not safe high in mercury but light tuna in a can of water is very safe. seriously enjoy it, you will make yourself nuts and NEVER ever not indulge on a craving either. some old wise tale forget the whole thing but if you crave something you are suppose to eat it of course if its safe.
I have eaten it many times, just had an amnio and my baby is healthy and normal.
