Is it difficult to convert a drop ceiling?

I believe there are some wires and pipes above the drop ceiling.

How much would it cost, approximately?Chat Icon

yes, has anybody done this? Not sure what kind of pipe/wires on top of the ceiling now, don't know if I'll need to access them. I really hate the drop ceiling! Chat Icon

WE did this, but only half of it. Cause of the wires. DH was too lazy

A contractor will be able to tell you what needs to be accessible

My husband did this in our basement, it was not bad at all, took 1 day. But it depends what type of lighting you have down there, it will determine how diffiult the process will be

we did it in our kitchen. There were a LOT of pipes to re-route and lighting/wires to change, but Al did it himself. So I can't really give an idea of cost.

Sheet rocking the ceiling is a two man job, if your not experienced.

are you talking about doing this in your basement??
