Is it hard explaining IF to family members? And do they give you advice?

My mother just does not understand this whole process. She also thinks it is insane that I am going into Cornell and also tells me that I should see some doctor who helped a family friend get pregnant. She thinks this is like the only doctor who helps people get pregnant.

I know she means well but she sometimes makes it worse.

i have no advice but i have a friend that is always suggesting another doctor for me to go to, she thinks her suggestions are the best and it really is annoying, i just tell her i want to see what happens with this doctor

This is part of the reason I do not mention it to our family. I'm afraid I'd get a ton of unsolicited and inexperienced advice and that it'd come at inopportune times.
The people who do know about our IF issues have gone through it themselves so they tend to be a bit more supportive.
