Is it just me or do people have a hard time saying "sorry" these days?

I don't mean if someone sleeps with your husband, but I mean for every day things.
All day I have craved chinese food. I placed my order for delivery. It was screwed up. I called and nicely told them and they acted annoyed...which bugs me to no end. I just worked my tail off at my job servicing the general population. I punched out - I am now off. You are at work. It's your turn to service me.
I feel like I say "sorry" either way too much, or maybe it's that people don't say it enough.
I don't want a parade, just a simple, "Sorry for the inconvenience."....especially when all I received was an attitude.
The other day I was looking at some items in Trader Joes and people are so rude. I move out of the way if people need to reach for something, and I always say a polite, "excuse me" or "sorry" if I bump into them.
Do you think it is because everyone is so stressed these days? Or do you think that when you are polite you just notice rude people more?
What do you think?

people are so rude these days ! I am just like you ! The other day I was at Walmart and this older woman needed butter but couldn't find it. I found it and then she proceeded to tell me to get her the salted one ( I shut my mouth and just did it b/c she's old) , she then grabs it from me and with an attitude says "thanks". I was soooo pizzzed b/c you could tell she wasn't grateful. Oh and plenty of people walk right into me ,then huff and continue ...like it was my fault lol.

I am sorry that so many teachers took offense to me using the phrase "sweet deal"
I am good at saying that I am sorry but I do notice that a lot of people are not.

I always say sorry when I sleep with someone else's husband. It is the right thing to do.
I have read that woman in general say sorry too much. Now when I say it I try to think if I really should be sorry.
I find people have a hard time realizing that they are being paid to give good customer service. From the rudeness you just experienced to people that let their work calls go to voicemail because they just can't be bothered. I want to shake them and scream you are paid to to be bothered.
