Is it normal for a puppy to

constantly be on top of you? Our 3 1/2 month old puppy cant go more than 2 minutes without tryng to get in our laps, wanted to be petted, jumping up on you if you're not paying her attention, etc. Literally, if we're in the same room as her, she WILL be on you. We cant do anything without her biding for our attention. Its at the point where its consuming our lives.....we cant get anything done because she needs SO much attention. Is this normal? Will it stop?

Yeah i definitely know how you feel! It was very hard to get anything done... it felt like we had a baby! Chat Icon

But it gets easier and better, especially as they get more independent the older they get! Chat Icon

Re: Is it normal for a puppy to

my 3 1/2 month old puppy will jump on the couch and literally lay on my head just to get near me. She follows me everywhere...even into the bathroom...when i take a shower, she lays outside the shower doors till i'm done.
it will get better, they usually become more independant around 1 yr old.

edited for my poor spelling

It is very normal. In fact Henry is a year old and still has to sit in my lap all the time and he weighs 27lbs!
