Is it normal for me to have seperation anxiety?
DS will be spending the night at my mom's for the first time in 9 months. I am so worried and keep thinking of all these scenrios, especially since he is waking durning the night sometimes. I guess what makes me nervous is I know she will not listen to me 100%. Meaning, she will probably keep him up after 7:30 and then he will get over tired and give her a hard time. She doesnt agree with CIO at all and I wonder how she is going to get him to sleep since he doesnt like the play pen to begin with really. Then I am worried that she will bring him into her bed, she hasnt had a baby sleep in her bed in 9 years ( I dont think she would do this but something I have been thinking about). Or if he wakes up in the middle of night she will want to feed him when he doesnt need to eat (he stopped having nightly feedings at 7 weeks). I know it sounds like I am being very neurotic but I am just so nervous. She did raise 5 kdis on her own but our parenting styles are different. She only watched him 1 other time when she was going to put him to bed. She ended up giving him an extra 8 oz which I didnt say anything to but I really dont think he needed that much milk at 6 weeks. My dh thinks I am nuts and last night I lost so much sleep over it. Please tell me I am not alone.

Re: Is it normal for me to have seperation anxiety?
I think it's totally normal
The 1st time i spent the night away from DD was 5 months old and it was really hard
I left my parents a list of what to do, if this...etc. ya parents thought i was nuts!
DD gave them a little bit of a hassle at bedtime, but went down, she did really well.
I live a state away from my parents so it's not like she sees them alot either.
It'll be okay
