is it normal to be this nervous?

Dh and I signed a contract last week for our new home. Although we are extremely excited, we are so super nervous. We basically cleared out our bank account for this home. Did anyone else freak about taking on such a big responsibility? We both have excellent jobs, I'm just nervous hearing the big numbers for our monthly bills.

it's such a huge step in your lives, of course you should be nervous. just wait... you will feel so good after you sign those papers at closing and walk into your home.

I think you need to make a list of all your monthly expenses- and see what you have left over

I would over estimate for things like oil and electric

oh man it is absolutely terrifying. DH and i just closed a few weeks ago and even though u crunch the numbers and check and recheck that youre gonna be financially ok, it is still scary as hell. its the biggest purchase most of us will EVER make in our lives. of course youre going to be nervous. just keep seeking reassurance from DH...and best of luck!!

Oh you girls are lifesavers. It's so great to hear that I'm not alone. It's just such a scary purchase. I have never signed a check in that amount I hope I never have to again! I will post pictures as soon as we close I promise. I don't want to get my hopes up just yet. We still have to proceed through the process.

As for my fingernails...they are still there. Barely..but they are there
