Is it ok to bring my 5 month old to the hosp.?

My DH father has been in and out of the hosp alot these past few weeks.. I was wondering if it is ok to keep her in the waiting room with my DH or someone else so I can visit with him

Olivia is shy 5 months old.

What do you think?

I am BFing but I can always pump and leave her at my moms but my parents will not be around this weekend...

I want to be there for my DH and his mom. His Dad was not good today when his mom brought him in.

I am so worried. I hope he is ok. He was really pale and shaking this morning and now needs blood.. Too much to write please pray he gets well aslo thank you.

i think it's fine to leave olivia in the waiting area if it's not an ER setting where people are sick all over.

Chat Icon the only thing I would be fearful of is the flu if the waiting area has sick people there.

maybe the cafeteria or something would be better?

I probably wouldn't but if you have too, the waiting area is probably ok.

Does she still fit in an infant carseat? I'd bring her in either that or a carrier on your body (like Baby Bjorn). Then she won't be touching anything and should be fine.

I know my son is a little bit older, but when my husband was in hospital this summer I brought him with me every day. I had no choice!!!

my husband was in the hospital this weekend and i had no choice but to bring my son with me - the nurse made me take him home. she said he doesn't need to be around a hospital with everything that's going around

so, i'd say if u can have someone watch her, do so b/c its not worth the risk

I wouldn't chance it. People in the waiting room could very well be visiting sick people and carrying their germs back and forth. Chat Icon

I would keep her home as well. I wouldn't want to risk her getting sick with so much going around.

I hope FIL is better Chat Icon Chat Icon
