I ate it almost every day (bacon egg and cheese) with my first. It was the only thing that would settle my stomach. My choloestrol must have been sky high!

Yes bacon does have nitrates. I am choosing to avoid them (not eating cold cuts or hot dogs for that reason), so I bought nitrate free bacon when I am having that craving.

I had bacon throughout my pregnancy (in moderation) and was so happy to find the nitrate free one from Oscar Meyer.
