is it OK to heat breast milk in a pot?
instead of just running the bottle under warm water, my mom suggested i pour it into a pot on the stove and heat it that way to get the chill out? can i also do this with ready to serve formula? i know we can't microwave it. thanks

If you heat the BM too much I think it can destroy some of the nutrients. I've always just filled a small bowl with warm water and let it sit in there while I got the bottle/DD ready.

I got a bottle warmer from BRU that says its safe for BM
ETA: Got off Kellymom.com:
To warm milk
Heat water in a cup or other small container, then place frozen milk in the water to warm; or Use a bottle warmer. NEVER microwave human milk or heat it directly on the stove
