Is it possible? Redstar come on in!!
Is it possible to become preg. on the 8th day after period, I don't do charting, but I was playing on line and I think it was babyzone where you plug the information in and it said that day 8 was a fertile time, day 14 most fertile. Another site said highly unlikely - babycenter.com.
I thought maybe possible b/c the sperm can live for a few days, maybe ovulation will come then it will hit the egg?

I am a bit confused. Are you asking if you will ovulate, 8 days after your AF is finished ? So for instance, your Af is 4 days, and then 8 days after, is cd12 ???? The answer is most certainly ! :)
You can even ovulate on cd8.

Re: Is it possible? Redstar come on in!!
Hi there,
I was asking if you can get preg. on the 8th day after period. If my period was 11/4 - 11/8. BD on 11/9.
I usually feel ovulation on the 14th day, cramping. I can tell when I am.
With the above dates - can I possiby get preg. due to the sperm living for a few days after ?
Sorry for the TMI and confusion !!!
Thanks !!

Re: Is it possible? Redstar come on in!!
:) okay so you started your AF (aunt flo/period), 11/4 that's cycle day 1 (cd1) it lasted until 11/8 making it go till cd 5. Then on 11/9 you bded :) ...cd 6. You think you ovulate, cd 14, 8 days later...???
If you just bded that one time,....and if you definitely O'd cd14. There really isn't any chance of conception.
Sperm can live sometimes for 5 days in the right environment but even that is a rarity. Most would say 2-3 days sperm stay alive.

Thanks Redstar for the info= I was hanging onto the idea that sperm could actually live for five days With my DH out of town so much its hard to make that ovulation date. So at least now I won't be overly upset at the end of this month- that really helped.
