Is it possible to get two surges?
So I am now 22DPO and no AF- which either gives me an insanely long LP, or means that I'm actually ovulting way past my positve OPK. Is it at all possible that I'm getting an early surge but that I'm not ovulating at that time. Should I try using OPKs the whole month and see of I get a second surge? I know when I got preggo with DS that I was a late ovulator (day 18) the month I got preggo.

i don't know how OPK's work, but i do know that it is possible to get multiple patches of CM in one cycle and only ovulate once or not at all.

i used to get multiple surges- but I don't believe I was ovulating. I most likely have slight PCOS. I only ovulate with medication.
Normal Ovulation will show a surge for about 1-2 days, if you get 2 surges at 2 different times than you probably did not ovulate the first time. are you using lines or smiley faces? the lines can sometimes be deceiving.

Yes it is possible. Your body can have a surge and try to O. If the egg is not ready then it can try again later on. Some times the egg never releases and a cyst forms other times the second try is the charm.

I have been using line tests and stopped using them after seeing a surge, but since I've never had a cyst that I'm aware of, I'm going to assume maybe I'm getting a second surge at some point.

Well an OPK can actually detect HCG- have you taken a pregnancy test recently?

I've taken 3 tests since last week, one Friday, one Sunday and one today- all BFN.

I thikn once TBAF finally shows up, I will test all month long with OPKs. After that initial surge, I'll see if I get another one later in the month.

Have you spoken to your doctor?
You should just go and get a beta to be sure... and then go from there.

I spoke to her last week, and she wants me to come in for blood work, but I can't go until I get AF.
